Payday 3, the third installment of the classic shooter video game, offers an intense experience that is sure to keep gamers on their toes. Plan the perfect heist

The mechanics of Payday 3 are heist-focused, allowing gamers to plan each mission carefully and execute it flawlessly. The game’s AI also challenges players with intelligent enemies that can react to their approach, requiring preparation for every situation. The game also features intense set pieces with destructible environments for players to explore.

Update 1.0.2 highlights

Shortly after its Update 1.0.1 release, co-op shooter game Payday 3 rolls out Update 1.0.2. With it comes some major additions and essential tweaks to the gameplay. Headlining these changes are two new heists adapted from Payday 2, Turbid Station and Cook Off. The former, formerly known as Murky Station, received a facelift and a new name.

Even so, veterans of the series will still feel right at home with this first “stealth only” heist. On the other hand, the latter heist has seen quite a few changes. This “loud only” heist isn’t endless anymore, with a cap of 19 bags. Revamped visuals make this heist seem hauntingly familiar, yet distinct to seasoned heisters. Moving on, the update also introduces the Under Wraps mask, the Compact7 Lycan preset weapons, and the Transporter skill line.

Moreover, there are new stunning first-person animations for many player actions, elevating the overall experience and improving the sense of immersion within the game. Besides that, there is a new system of recommended challenges that will provide guidance both on the main menu and the heist selection screen. Finally, rewards are now available for players who have previously hit the level cap. These Renown levels will reward players with consumable items moving forward.

A worthy successor to the franchise 

Overall, Payday 3 is an intense and rewarding shooter game that offers gamers an immersive experience. The game’s mechanics are deep and engaging, challenging players with tactical decision-making. Its destructible environments also offer new opportunities for gamers to approach each heist differently. However, the game’s potentially repetitive missions can be drawbacks for some players. Nonetheless, it is still an intense and rewarding shooter experience.
